This is a beautiful Archtop by Arnold Hoyer. Hoyer was one of the biggest german luthiers, who produced many kinds of instruments between the 1950s and the 1980s. They where famous for their high quality, well manufactured, handcrafted guitars with a rich sound.
The guitar is in excellent condition, with minimal wear as visible in the pictures. The tuners operate smoothly and maintain proper string tension. The guitar produces a rich, full sound, making it ideal for playing blues and jazz music from the 1950s and 1960s.
The low action and straight neck also contribute to a comfortable playing experience. Additionally, the frets have been polished, the fretboard has been oiled, and the strings are new. This guitar has been fitted with a modern neck pickup in the traditional style which vastly improves its versatility and range of tones. These were often fitted to guitars in the early 1960's.
